We're emerging artists and we believe it's important to support and work with other emerging artists. That means creating opportunities within our company for unheard, untried, untested voices.
We believe that a play should be treated with as much respect as a person, and that it is only through examining a text from all angles that it will be able to truly able to stand up and walk on its own.
We believe in creating the maximum theatrical experience with a minimum of material elements.
We believe there's room for everyone's story. We desperately want our work to reflect a broad range of experiences, backgrounds, and viewpoints that are underrepresented in modern theatre.
We believe theatre should be, first and foremost, a product of and for the community. The work of Asterism is to reflect the joys and challenges of the communities we live in.
